To realize a workforce that is diverse and inclusive at all levels throughout the organization — a workforce that contributes 100 percent of their talents, 100 percent of the time and believes that we are an employer of choice.
To be the best at what we do, we have to employ the best people. That's why our goal is to create a workforce that is reflective of the communities in which we live and work, and a leadership team that is reflective of the workforce we build. Through a culture of challenge and achievement, we attract talented people who help us drive innovation. And we retain them by encouraging professional development to meet changing work requirements, personal development to enhance their own lives and volunteerism to help others.Workplace Goal
To create a work environment of trust and respect where associates are engaged, feel valued and there is open, two-way communication that encourages challenging status quo.
We embrace the fact that a diversity and inclusion program represents a journey, not a trip with a final destination. Along this journey, the successive steps of communication, education, action and accountability are emphasized through various programs designed to not only deliver information, but to engage our associates.Marketplace Goal
To create new and innovative solutions that meet the needs of our diverse client base, while creating new touchpoints and demonstrating shared values.
Valassis' Supplier Diversity Program utilizes communication and outreach to provide access, growth, and development opportunities to minority, women-owned, veteran-owned, LGBT and small businesses. At Valassis, we respect and embrace differences of all kinds and this includes our supplier base. To learn more about our program, click here.
One of our highest priorities is the well-being of our associates and their families. This is illustrated through the investment we make in our benefit plan offerings. Valassis offers a competitive benefits package to provide our associates and their families’ access to quality care and the ability to plan for the future. The following benefits are available to our full time associates:
That is done through our programs such as Leadership Development (Leadership Consulting & Advising, Leadership Competencies, Leader On boarding and High Impact Leader Transition), Employee Development, eLearning (Skillsoft, LMS, and CBT development), College Partnerships, and Compliance Training. Talent Management itself expands to include D&I and Employee and Community Engagement.
At Valassis we believe in developing best practices that promote sustainability, support community stewardship, and in aligning environmental principles that mirror our corporate values. Our goals are driven towards compliance and preparedness for emerging regulations, affecting our carbon footprint, and implementing fiscally sound principles for continuous improvement & environmental sustainability. Our success will be measured through consumer, client and associate awareness of our beliefs, efforts and commitment towards environmental stewardship.
The Giving Committee is a group comprised of volunteer associates from across the organization who are passionate about giving to charitable causes and being involved in their communities. The committee has two primary responsibilities: fund-raising activities for the global cause, The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and making corporate donations to various nonprofit organizations across the United States.
